Patty Odell joined PROMO as managing editor in March 2003. Prior to that she was the news editor of sister publication DIRECT magazine and editor of DIRECT Newsline as well as the online content editor. She had been with DIRECT since 1997. Prior to joining Penton, Patty worked as a reporter and community page editor for the Stamford Advocate, a daily newspaper in Stamford, CT. She graduated from the New York University School of Journalism.
Patty covers Agencies, HBC, Pharmaceutical, Legal and Regulatory and Legislative issues.

Editor-at-Large Brian Quinton joined Promo's editorial staff in August 2007.
Prior to joining Promo, Brian worked for sister publication Direct magazine
as senior editor. Before coming to DIRECT, Brian wrote for five years about
IP networks and telecommunications for another sister publication,
Telephony, and served as editor-in-chief of Upstart magazine, covering
networking start-up companies. He has worked in trade journalism for 20
years, has served as a business writer/editor for companies such as Lucent
Technologies, Ericsson and Verizon, and has freelanced for publications on
corporate law, health/medicine and computing. Brian attended Northwestern
University's Medill School of Journalism and holds degrees from New York
University and Colgate University. He is based in Chicago, where he puts up
with the icy winters in order to enjoy the killer summers.
Brian covers all aspects of E-commerce, Online and Telecom Marketing, as
well as Beverages, Tobacco and Consumer Electronics.

Amy Johannes joined PROMO as a staff writer in December 2004 after working as a news reporter for the Journal Inquirer, a daily newspaper in Manchester, CT. Prior to that, she worked as an intern and correspondent for the Boston Globe, West Weekly in Framingham, Mass. She has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Connecticut.
Amy covers Retail (including supermarkets, mass merch, drugstores, department stores, malls, convenience stores, gas stations/stores, Restaurants (including QSRs, full-service, fine dining), Consumer package goods, Travel (including airlines, hotels, theme parks, rental cars) and Apparel (including footwear and accessories).

Richard Tedesco joined Promo as a reporter in July 2007
Prior to joining Promo, Richard was a regular freelance contributor to the
New York Post Sunday business section, covering sports and electronic media.
He formerly covered the emerging business of online video and audio
streaming for Broadcasting & Cable magazine. He has written about the TV
sports and cable television businesses for several trade publications,
including Electronic Media and Cablevision, and was a TV columnist for the
San Antonio Light. He also has worked as a freelance reporter for National
Public Radio and Monitor Radio, and was co-host of Seventh Inning Stretch,
a sports feature show on WBAI-FM in New York.
Richard covers Sports, Automotive and Financial services.
